Strong communication skills are essential for success in school and beyond. Words in Action helps students in Grades 5–8 develop confidence in reading, writing, critical thinking, and public speaking through engaging, interactive lessons.

Students will learn how to organize their ideas, communicate clearly, support their opinions with evidence, and speak confidently in front of others. Through reading activities, writing exercises, discussions, debates, and presentation practice, students will strengthen both their academic and communication skills.

A key feature of the program is the ongoing development of public speaking skills. Students will participate in regular speaking activities designed to build confidence, improve presentation techniques, strengthen verbal communication, and help them become more comfortable speaking in front of peers. Throughout the program, students will work toward delivering a speech on a topic of their choice, applying the skills they have learned in a supportive and encouraging environment.
