Every Wednesday, 4:00pm – 5:00pm

Maximum 12 students; minimum 6 students.

Class sizes are determined based on the skill levels of the students, which include the following categories:

  1. New to the game

  2. Familiar with the concept of checkmate

  3. Knowledgeable in basic strategies and tactics

  4. Have successfully completed the previous level.

Chess has been used as a powerful tool to improve mathematics, memory and intelligence for more than t 130,00 children at schools throughout Canada in 2011, where chess is part of the curriculum.

Your child has the exciting opportunity to improve their mental skill taking chess lessons with professional chess instructors from the Chess’n Math Association who currently teach at more than 70 schools in the GTA.

Small class size, from beginner to advanced, allow for quality instruction. Each lesson is followed by a practice session. Certificates achieved are awarded at the end of each course. And the best part is… Children learn through play!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

The instructors (Mr. Cho, Mr. Abrarov, and Mr. Goldenberg) for the Chess Club are provided by the Chess ‘n Math Association.
