Our final day in Ecuador was filled with joy, sadness, hope, and reflection. Joy to spend time with the abuelitos (grandparents) at Christo Liberador again, sadness of having to part from friends in Ecuador (including our Youth World hosts, Pablo and Grace), hope in God for meeting the needs of His people in Ecuador, and the beginnings of reflecting over all that we have experienced the past 9 days.
By God’s grace, and through your prayers for us, we were wonderfully united as a team, both in ministry and in fellowship. We were all also able to adjust to the food, the language, and the culture quickly, and did not have any illnesses during our stay in Ecuador. We were also very well received by both churches we partnered with, and both churches were very blessed by our presence and service, We were also greatly blessed by the Ecuadorian brothers and sisters. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer for us. It has born much fruit.
Please continue to pray for us over the next several weeks as we transition home and readjust to our home culture. Please pray that each of us can effectively process our experience before God, and yield to His loving comfort, exhortation, and guidance. Please pray that we would be able to effectively share what we have experienced at PCA and at our respective local churches, and that our sharing would be an encouragement to God’s people. Lastly, please pray for deeper convictions to be born in each of us with regards to God’s heart for the nations, the importance of God’s word in our lives, and the power of prayer.
