Our day began with a continuation of our study in 1 Thessalonians. We observed the Apostle Paul’s longing that the believers in Thessalonica grow in holiness and live blameless so that they may stand before God upon the return of Jesus Christ.
We spent the day with the children at the Compassion Centre. I was truly proud of each of the students. Some led the children in songs of praise to Jesus. Others shared their testimonies. A number served in the kitchen preparing and serving food for around 100 young children. The meals that these children receive are hearty, nourishing and finished without any complaints.
The students were divided into three groups. One group taught the youngest children. A second group taught middle-aged children. The third group taught the teenagers. In each of the teaching sessions, the gospel was articulated. Please pray that every child would grow to be born again by the Holy Spirit.
Tonight, we enjoyed dinner at the pastor’s house. He had observed that our team was very muti-cultural. So, before we left his home, we joined our hearts together in praying for the countries from which each of us have hailed.
It is now 11pm and the students are in bed. Tomorrow, we will spend the morning with the children. After lunch, we will be travelling to El Refugio to have some time in prayer and Bible study. Wednesday will be our last day with the children.
