Wow, what a day, friends! We were so blessed to go to one of the villages that KC partners with to interact with the children and praise God with the church there! We got picked up from our hotel in the morning by a forty-seater bus, and went to KC to have breakfast. Then all of us, both the PCA team and the KC team, took the bus to the village, about forty minutes away from KC. It was a delight riding the bus with the KC students, as they sang songs both in English and in Telugu.
Upon arrival, we were served tea by the pastor of the village, and were greeted by the village children in their classrooms. We then all moved from the school to the church, where we sang and taught the children a couple action songs, and presented a narrated skit of the parable of the prodigal son. Afterwards, we played a variety of games with the children, including limbo, ring toss, a relay race, duck-duck-goose, and a Telugu version of ‘simon says’. It was a wonderful experience of partnering with the KC students in ministry, singing and sharing the good news with village children.
In the afternoon, we had the privilege of worshipping God at the village church with the locals. We sang praise songs in both English and Telugu, heard an encouraging message from the principal of KC, shared with the local people why we came and our honor to be in their presence, and blessed them with prayer. This is just one of many villages that KC partners with, as each KC student goes to a different village on the weekends to minister to the children there. Truly, we are humbled and greatly encouraged by the love and commitment of the KC students to God and His Kingdom.
