Today, we began our day at Casa Gabriel, a home for street young men, to learn more about this ministry which is also under Youth World. While there, we also learned more about Casa Adalia, a home for street young women.
Our team had the opportunity to visit La Mitad Del Mundo, Equador’s official equator line. It was fascinating to observe how various natural phenomena, such as how water drains and the length of our shadow, are affected when located on the equator.
We ended our day at El Refugio, where we learned more about this camp and retreat centre ministry. We took advantage of the facilities to spend some quiet solo time with God in nature, had a campfire hot dog and marshmallow roast, and even ate a guinea pig which was raised on the property!
It was a wonderful day of learning more about the various ministries of Youth World and of reflecting on our time in Ecuador so far. Tomorrow, we will begin serving at Cristo Liberador. Please pray for us!
