In the afternoon, we split off into our separate teams to return to our Kids’ Clubs in our respective neighbourhoods. When we arrived at our sites, both groups were disappointed that it was starting to rain. But rain is no obstacle for God’s will! Here are our stories…
Mrs. S. Tam’s team included Rochelle, Jessica, Mona, Rachel, Senthurran and Michael. We began our Bible memory verse game, when they sky started spitting. We found a covered area to move our group, and all the kids followed. We continued with our program, but decided to shorten the program by taking out the action song and games. After our program was complete, and the rain was slowing down, a majority of the children wanted to stay and play with us. Some of our team decided to teach the action song (“Our God is a Great Big God”). As a group, they even decided to teach the song to the geese! It was a very precious moment.
Mr. T. Chung’s team included Richard, Daisy, Emilie, Erik, and Immanuel. As we were driving to our Kids Club location, it started pouring. We prayed that God would hold off the rain when we arrived. We prayed that the rain would stop at 5:30pm, so that we could begin our session, and it did! God held back the rain, and 12 children, most of whom had come out on previous days, showed up! We were able to share with them the bible memory verse, the object lesson, and the sketchboard! Praise the Lord!
In the morning we had studied and meditated on the Great Commission – Matthew 28:19-20. Certainly Jesus is with His people as they obey and fulfill the Great Commission, to the very end of the age!
